The closing date for applications is\u00a0Friday\u00a030 April.\u00a0\u00a0More information at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportengland.org\/how-we-can-help\/our-funds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.sportengland.org\/how-we-can-help\/our-funds<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Windrush Community Fund<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This fund is for charitable, voluntary and community organisations that work with communities from the Windrush generation.\u00a0 Groups can bid for between \u00a32500 and \u00a325,000 from a total pot of \u00a3200,000 in phase 2 of the programme.\u00a0 The aim is to ensure that people affected by the Windrush scandal are aware of the support available and are not missing out on compensation schemes.\u00a0 The fund is administered by Voice4Change England on behalf of the Home Office, and deadline for bids is\u00a030 June.\u00a0 There is an\u00a0on-line briefing event\u00a0for interested groups on\u00a0Wednesday\u00a021 April\u00a0between 2 pm and 4 pm.\u00a0 More information from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.voice4change-england.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.voice4change-england.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Community Use of Lambeth Buildings<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lambeth Council is consulting on its Voluntary and Community Sector Asset Strategy, but the&nbsp;deadline&nbsp;for comments is&nbsp;Sunday 25 April.&nbsp;&nbsp;Community organisations occupy a variety of Council buildings, but with wide variation in their rents and terms. The Council is seeking a more standardised approach, which also provides for upgrading buildings and ensuring lasting community use and sustainability.&nbsp; The thinking seems to be to encourage more intensive use, and to give some credit for the number and range of users that a site provides for. Lockdown had frustrated earlier efforts to organise, yet more people were discovering the park on their daily exercise.&nbsp; It has helped that, after years of neglect, Lambeth found some funds to repair the children&#8217;s play area.&nbsp; HLP have been providing food parcels to vulnerable or shielding residents since March last year.&nbsp; They have developed a partnership with 33 other charities and food hubs, and linked up with schools and children&#8217;s centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HLP will provide a single point of contact for collection of surplus or unwanted food.&nbsp;
