or not &#8211; the LTNs are working around our area, but it&#8217;s critical to identify what works and what does not.\u00a0 Lambeth is inviting comments, so decisions can be taken in the New Year about whether to make these temporary schemes permanent.\u00a0Around Brixton, the\u00a0Railton LTN\u00a0is open for comments until\u00a010 October,\u00a0to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/brixtonforum.us13.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=41f4dd0a933ab7c1c2f1d9ed7&amp;id=22ae83f125&amp;e=d014828a82\" target=\"_blank\"><u>www.lambeth.gov.uk\/railton-ltn-say<\/u><\/a><strong> <\/strong>Although there was prior local consultation on the design of this LTN, the present layout introduced extra features such as cutting off the northern arm of Shakespeare Road from all vehicle traffic from the Railton Road side.Consultations should follow on the\u00a0Ferndale and Tulse Hill LTNs,\u00a0but we have not been able to get clear dates yet &#8211; we suggest contacting\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:lowtrafficneighbourhoods@lambeth.gov.uk\">lowtrafficneighbourhoods@lambeth.gov.u<u>k<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Safeguarding Space for Local Business<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lambeth proposes to make 3\u00a0&#8220;Article 4 Directions&#8221;\u00a0to protect existing business premises from casual change to residential use.\u00a0 The Government has removed most planning protection, with the risk that most shops and workspaces will be changed into flats, which generate higher rents for landlords.\u00a0 Between them, the 3 proposed orders would cover Brixton Town Centre, the other established business areas (KIBAs) around the borough, and the north end of the borough which is part of London&#8217;s Central Business District.\u00a0\u00a0Closing date for comments is\u00a027 September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Parks and Open Spaces Consultation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t panic &#8211;
